A three-day residential or non-residential retreat that encourages you to let go of any inhibitions and enjoy the results of painting and drawing with freedom.  From your base at Le 1500 you'll experience a fun-filled few days, sampling the best of our local wines and a range of utterly delicious lunches and suppers prepared for you by our resident chef.  Residential packages at preferential rates are also available.

Day One:  10h00 Memory and Imagination in Art - expressing yourself through a range of mediums.  12h30 Lunch featuring Chateau Le Tap.  14h00 Speed Drawing & Colour Tutorial 15h00 Dynamic Still Life (picking up on speed and imagination).  17h00 Relax.  19h30 Welcome Dinner

Day Two:  10h00 Field Trip - Winery Research Tour and Landscape Painting.  13h30 Picnic Lunch with featured wine, Chateau de Fayolle.  15h00 Landscape or Studio.  17h00 Relax.  19h30 Optional Dinner

Day Three:  10h00 Life Drawing.  13h00. Lunch with featured wine, Chateau Feely.  14h30 Studio Time.  16h30 Review, Debrief & Bubbles

MICHAEL F RUMSBY.  Since shifting from the corporate world to life as a full-time artist in 2012, Mike has enjoyed international success, primarily as an expressive landscape and still life painter.  His unusual approach to painting from memory has earned him a solid reputation as a painter of joyous, colourful works and is represented by the UK's largest gallery portfolio, Clarendon Fine Art.  His most recent solo show in London was a sell-out success.  Mike is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in London.
